QSAN Launches XS1200 series SAN storage systems for SMB Market

No 1 choice for surveillance, backup and disaster recovery.

On July 14th 2017 QSAN, an enterprise data storage manufacturer, announced the launch of the XCubeSAN XS1200 series, designed to meet the storage needs of SMB’s . The XS1200 series is the latest in the QSAN XCubeSAN family offering state-of-the-art hardware with latest SANOS 4.0 SAN storage operation system.

Faced with an ever-changing market, data storage solutions should not only be able to adapt to the huge growth of structured and unstructured data but also to achieve maximum efficiency at the lowest cost. To satisfy these demands the XCubeSAN XS1200 series products offer a diverse range solutions

The XS1200 range of SANs include the world’s first small form factor 2U 26 bay SAN array, the XS1226, available in both dual active/active and single controller (upgradeable) versions. QSAN’s host interface cards enable the XS1200 systems to offer outstanding flexibility with 10GbE ports built in, and additional 16Gb Fibre Channel and 10GbE iSCSI (SFP+ & RJ45) options. The XS1200 allows hybrid interfaces, so customers can mix any two host connectivity types into a single enclosure, allowing for complete flexibility.

QSAN’s new SANOS 4.0 is equipped with a simple to use web GUI which can be easily deployed into any infrastructure and comes with a large selection of value-added features.

XS1200-1

Stunning performance

The XCubeSAN XS1200 series can deliver an astounding 9,000MB/s sequential read and 4,500MB/s1 sequential write in throughput which can support more than 1000 cameras per system from multiple locations. High volumes of recordings are able to be streamed to NVRs for analytics and event handling. Using SAS SSD storage, the systems are capable of up to 900K sequential IOPS offering Businesses flexibility and scalability to meet predicable and unpredicted demands.

Advanced RAID level Technology

More and more surveillance system are built around the storage system making it necessary for businesses to use storage that support SAS/SATA in a RAID format, Qsan’s proprietary SANOS 4.0 supports all RAID levels including RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 6, 10, 30, 50, 60, and N-way mirror.

Backup Features

Snapshot, Local Volume Clone, and Remote Replication come as standard with the XS1200 range allowing enterprise class data management for less.

QSnap (Snapshots) is the easiest and most effective measurement to protect against ransomware attacks, accidental file deletion, accidental file modification, or unstable system hardware caused by bad I/O cable connection, unstable power supply, etc. Writable snapshot support and compatible with Windows VSS (Volume Shadow Copy Service) are feature included to provide additional data availability.

QClone (Local Volume Clone) is used to make a duplicate copy of a volume in the same storage pool as well as in a separate storage pool within the same enclosure.

QReplica (Remote Replication) has many powerful capabilities including unlimited bandwidth, traffic shaping, and multiple connections per replication task. It’s the most cost-effective and efficient way to perform remote data backup.

Huge Capacity Solution

The XCubeSAN XS1200 storage capacity can scale-up with XCubeDAS XD5300 12Gb SAS expansion enclosures, allowing up to 10 expansion units and support up to 286 drives with over 2,6PB of raw storage capacity for future data growth.

Super Capacitor M.2

The XCubeSAN now offers BBM and Super Capacitor cache protection modules to protect data against power loss.

Built with interoperability for the most popular operating systems, the XS1200 Series is the most cost-effective SAN storage systems available for SMB market. It is a perfect solution to the support surveillance, backup and for disaster recovery in SMB demands helping to reduce both capital expenditure and achieve maximum efficiency. The XCubeSAN 1200 series can provide more than a 50% increase in performance, thanks to QSAN’s revolutionary technology and built-in Enterprise features. Click here for more information on XS1200.
