Role: Demand Planner

CMS require an ambitious, self-driven Demand Planner to join our rapidly growing America regional team. Working in a fast-paced environment your main duties will be to lead the demand planning function in America. This will include managing and supporting the supply chain, forecasting and overall demand planning needs of CMS and its Vendors. The planner is responsible for the placement and maintenance of orders, managing safety stock requirements, and the analysis and management of Vendor forecasts, all while working in collaboration with teams in the USA and Ireland to ensure that the retail partners service level requirements are met.

The successful candidate’s duties play a crucial role in the continued success and provision of excellent service of the company to retail partners.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years of Demand Planning experience or relevant work experience
  • Ability to communicate technical and analytical concepts into actionable information to drive results
  • Superior analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Vendor Management Experience
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Strong MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work both on short-term and long-term planning
  • Experience in working with cross functional teams
  • Commercial understanding of Consumer Electronic business preferable

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gather and disseminate information to internal and external customers as needed to make decisions and drive the business
  • Manage strong communications with Multi-National Vendors, their planning teams, and with retail partners
  • Maintain and monitor correct inventory levels and capital
  • Support and maintain the vendor management team
  • Provide direction concerning the allocation of customer orders
  • Maintain agreed to vendor service levels regarding inventory in the supply chain
  • Lead and facilitate weekly demand consensus meetings, bringing together team members from Multi-National Vendors, internal team members and retail partners
  • Assist in the implementing of a forecast planning tool, VMI reporting, escalation reports, and other reports as required
  • Manage the forecast: commit and maintain the reporting in regions for management by the Vendor Manager and Business Director
  • Work closely with the regional Operations Manager and other internal functions on the maintenance and management of stock
  • Evaluate inventory and maintain core Aging of Stock to required guidelines including turns, aging, and min/max levels
  • Drive improvements in forecasting capability and system utilization by defining and executing process re-design and systems integration efforts
  • Safeguard the company’s interests and follow purchasing protocols
  • Pro-active approach with regards to Vendor contact, ETA tracking and management
  • Review forecast performance, known events and finalize demand plans
  • Manage VMI Model with retail partners and suggest improvements on implemented VMI in the region
  • Drive improvements in forecasting capability and system utilization by defining and executing process re-design and systems integration efforts
  • Ensure understanding of forecasts and communicates variances in a timely fashion
  • Facilitate monthly demand consensus process bringing together team members from multiple sales channels to review forecast performance, known events and finalize our demand plans
