CMS Collaborate with DJI at The Photography Show

CMS is proud to have worked alongside DJI to represent them at the Photography and Video Show. Whilst CMS have visited the show with brands before, this was our first-time hosting and developing a stand ourselves. This would not have been possible without the collaborative efforts of DJI, our stand designers Studio Sasch, and our stand builders Solutions2.

Our booth was right at the front of the exhibition hall and with it’s large hanging overhead light you were instantly drawn over. The large LED backscreen and table mounted TVs constantly showcased the incredible and versatile range of DJI products, both consumer and pro, really encompassing the DJI motto for the show, “Imaging Never Stops”. It was paramount to have a booth that really reflects the strong commitment to innovation and design that DJI pride themselves on. The booth also highlighted just how comprehensive the DJI product range is, with a product and solution for every photographic or video need.

For DJI, the show provided an opportunity to connect with their end-users and discuss the products that they know and love using. It also allowed DJI to showcase two of their newest products, the DJI Osmo Action 3 and DJI Avata, which was the most popular product on the stand. There was a steady stream of customers who couldn’t wait to see these products first hand and hear about all their potential for creative solutions.

'Best In Show'

The new Osmo Action 3 which won Best In Show from Digital Camera World, is the latest in DJI’s action camera range. It boasts easy horizontal and vertical mounting, dual touchscreens and huge improvements in cold resistance, battery life, and waterproof capability. Alongside the Osmo Action 3’s capacity for RockSteady and HorizonSteady stabilisation, this makes it the perfect action camera for any adventure.

NEW LAUNCH

The DJI Avata is DJI’s latest entry into the FPV drone space. This drone is the perfect introduction to FPV for drone pilots and non-drone pilots alike, as it allows a completely immersive highly controlled first-person experience to really feel like you are the drone. This drone has been designed with agility and toughness in mind, to ensure you can continue flying no matter the obstacles.

Not only could DJI showcase their newest products, but their presence at the show really demonstrated how well DJI fits into the photographic scene. With big household brands such as Canon and Sony exhibiting, it’s important for DJI to highlight their place in the market and how their technology can really level up the content for creators, broadcasters, and filmmakers. Frequently we were asked from professional photographers and hobbyists alike how a DJI drone or mobile gimbal could improve the quality of their photography or videography.

SUPPORTING OUR RETAILERS

CMS was also supporting two retailers at the show: London Camera Exchange and WEX Photo Video. These retailers provided a high-quality shopping experience for any visitors who wished to purchase some DJI products whilst attending the show. Meeting these retailers in person was a great way to discuss sales strategies, hear any feedback, and to provide some high-quality in person training from the new DJI trainer, Pete Archer.

Overall, the show was an overwhelming success. Future did an excellent job of hosting the show. DJI through exhibiting at the show, have reengaged with their existing customer base as well as introduced their brand to a whole new sector of the market. It was a great show for the retailers who also got new opportunities to see the latest and greatest DJI tech.

For CMS, this show has proven a great success showing how another value-added service we provide can support our brands and retail partners. We expect to exhibit again with DJI at the next Photography Show, in March 2024.
