CMS is measuring its carbon footprint across twelve locations, spanning eight countries and three continents, as part of our commitment to tackling climate change and supporting the global ambition of the Paris Agreement to limit warming to 1.5°C.
We go beyond the requirements of the UK’s Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) framework by capturing and reporting our full Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions annually. Including Scope 3 is essential to us — it gives a transparent view of our value chain, helps prevent greenwashing and ensures our Net Zero strategy is built on complete and accurate data.
Our emissions are calculated using leading third-party carbon management software and are validated in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and current best practice.
With a robust baseline now established, our focus is on setting and delivering science-aligned reduction targets, embedding carbon data into business decision-making, and accelerating our decarbonisation pathway.
At CMS, measuring our impact is only the beginning — we use data to drive meaningful, long-term change.
