Operations Manager

Location: Denver, Colorado

Purpose of the Role 

Management of Logistics functions via 3PL Centres from Vendors to key Customers.  15 Key Suppliers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of SAP Sales & Distribution modules
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office suite and planning tools
  • Qlik View Reporting Tool

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree Level qualification in Supply Chain or Logistics.
  • 3+ years’ management experience in an operations and logistics environment.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a retail fulfilment position preferred .
  • Familiarity with major retailer processes, including routing, vendor portals, PO management and labelling
  • Proven ability to utilize WMS systems, SAP, and business communication systems required.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Manage the logistics and operations functions for supply of third party products to one of our global vendors; including the following:

  • All inbound outbound order scheduling
  • Order book management
  • Ensuring CMS are fully compliant with all state and federal legal requirements.
  • Manage CMS stock holding in CMS and in one of our global vendors DCs.
  • Operational support for remotes sales office and reporting to CMS Europe Operations team
  • Operational onboarding of Vendors and suppliers
  • Drive Cost reduction / reduction in cost to serve for all logistics related activities.
  • Ensuring CMS meet/ exceed targets set out in Customer SLAs .
  • Accuracy of stock on hand in relation to SAP system.
  • Ensure Aged stock is rotated returned to Vendor and CMS stock turns targets are achieved.
  • Drive Cost reduction / reduction in cost to serve for all logistics related activities.
  • Build relationship with customer and Vendors
  • Develop/ improve comprehensive SOP/ SOW with Suppliers.
  • Supplier SLA management.
  • Appraise all costs and service providers and develop an accurate cost to service model.
  • Develop a stock reconciliation and returns process.
  • Develop SAP improvement proposal for region.
