Vendor Sales Manager

Location: Amsterdam

Due to expansion we are recruiting for a Vendor Sales Manager in Benelux to be based in our Amsterdam office.

Purpose of Role

  • Managing the relationship to Fitbit in the Netherlands and ensure CMS delivers on key KPI’s agreed with the brand including sales & GP targets, service level to key customers and covering of B2B verticals
  • Managing the relationship and drive sales to all vendors and brands commercialised in the BENELUX region
  • Act as primary contact to the vendors to drive strategy and execution with sales team
  • Expand vendors portfolio in within the BENELUX region in key strategic verticals

Minimum Requirements

  • University/College Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of the distribution and vendor market in the Netherlands and Belgium
  • Comfortable in written and spoken English
  • Strong knowledge of MS office

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate and articulate our value proposition and strategy to prospect vendors to differentiate CMS from its competitors
  • Maintain high levels of vendors service ensuring that CMS remains a valued and key customer
  • Drive vendor portfolio expansion and diversification to ensure CMS BENELUX business resilience
  • Quarterly Business reviews with key regional vendors
  • Ensure that CMS BENELUX hits all key KPI’s with key vendors in the region
  • Own, manage and achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue and margin with all vendors in the region
  • Assist with sales cycles of existing and new customers and complete product and technical training with customers
  • Help train the CMS Sales teams on both the existing brands and any new products/technologies/brands brought to the business
  • Attending regional and global conferences, seminars and exhibitions to enhance the CMS Profile

Business Planning

  • Work alongside Business Directors to target new business leveraging our existing relationships and develop new ones through already established relationships
  • Provide regular performance updates against agreed business plans to both the vendor and CMS
  • Work alongside the Sales Manager to execute on strategy and targets for key vendors in the region
  • Advise Line Directors accordingly to any situations that threaten to prevent the quarterly goals/targets being achieved.

Market knowledge

  • Constantly improve knowledge and understanding of the markets which we operate in for the product category(s)
  • Identify market trends & outlooks to provide confidence for making strategic business decisions
  • Identify potential product, technologies or brands that would compensate the current range and add value to the Vendor portfolio


  • Negotiate contractual terms in line with CMS guidelines and processes.
  • Implement strategies alongside sales team to increase sales and products listings with key customers within your sales division
