Connecting generations to tech at CES 2023 with Walter Max Dornstedt

Many new and established brands are entering the wearables market, offering a wide range of options for tech-savvy parents and children. To hear Walter's views watch below:

One well-known brand in this category is Xplora, who was present at CES with their latest model, the X6 Play. Beyond Xplora, there were plenty of new brands on the show floor, such as Moochies, an Australian company; another notable brand was MyFirst, which goes beyond smartwatches and offers printers and cameras as well.

According to market data presented from consumer behaviour processors, GfK, the growth in the wearables market is coming from connected watches - ones that are connected to the internet through a SIM card or an eSIM card; children's smartwatches are benefitting from this growth. Children, who are part of the "Generation Alpha" born after 2010, are considered digital natives and are growing up with smartphones in their hands. Their tech-savvy parents are looking for ways to stay connected to their children's digital health and location, and children's smartwatches provide the perfect solution.

Just as the children's smartwatch market grows, so too does the market for senior smartwatches. With the elderly population spending more time at home and focusing on their health, these connected watches provide an attractive option for those who want to monitor their health and stay connected.

At CMS, we are on the hunt for these types of innovations and trends, and we believe that the children's smartwatch market has the potential to be the next big thing in technology. We work with the best brands in this market and are already taking advantage of this rapidly growing market.
