Our ESG Journey at CMS

Our vision is to be "a sustainable "glocal" business that connects people to innovative technologies and services". Glocal keeps us thinking globally, but acting locally, which we will continue to embed into both our people policies as well as minimising our impact on the planet.

Since appointing an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) manager in March 2022 we have embarked on multiple projects to embed sustainability across our business. To provide some examples on the environmental focus we are addressing single-use plastics, investing in renewable energy for our sites, and calculating our scope 1-3 carbon emissions across all our global offices. 

A key focus for us on this journey is transparency and education on these topics. Therefore, in October 2022, we held our first internal 'ESG week', this was a key step towards educating our people on its importance and how the group can achieve ESG transparency. We had over 150 staff get involved in our Q&As.

We are also working with our subsidiaries, a key group of stakeholders to bring on this journey. As we calculate our group's carbon footprint across twelve locations, in eight countries, and across three continents, this global scope is critical in our commitment to avoid greenwashing.
