Meet your End-User Customer at CMS Connect 2020

Your customers need more than just a good product to keep their loyalty with you; they also require you to understand their needs and wants when it comes to product and service in person.

CMS Distribution has always been at the forefront of connecting technology to customers by showcasing the best there is to offer in the ever-changing tech landscape.  Our commitment to presenting directly to end-user customers to gain valuable insight and feedback is part of our long-term dedication in customer service to our valuable vendors and partners.

As part of our continuous commitment, we are delighted to announce that we are adding an end-user customer to the forthcoming CMS Connect Gaming event on the 4th March 2020.  By inviting Benjimyn Bellenie, we are hosting a serious game playing client who uses multiple technologies to enhance his gaming experience. What better way to see how your business can provide what he needs by asking him in person?

Rocket League Game Playing

As a serious gamer, we had to look at Benjimyn’s credentials closely.  In his own words, his obsession began at an early age:

“I was introduced to gaming by my Dad, who played on multiple platforms, such as PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, PC and the classic Sega. From as young as I can remember (let’s say 4 years old) – I have been obsessed with gaming – not just because of the fantasy of temporarily being immersed within a new world, but because of what gaming offered as a whole.”

In recent years, however, Benjimyn has taken game playing to another highly competitive level by becoming immersed into the ‘Rocket League’ world of online game playing, which is pretty much cars with rockets playing football.  Benjimyn and a group of friends have entered open tournaments and have attended the eSports Rocket League Champions Series live in London, which had a prize pool of $250,000.

Game Playing Requirements

To be a serious gamer in the current market requires a heavy investment in the right equipment – for the Rocket League, for example, the minimal requirements is the following:

  • CPU: 2.4 GHz Dual-core
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 260 or AMD Radeon HD 4850
  • RAM: 2GB
  • Storage Space: 25GB
  • DirectX: 9.0c
  • OS: Windows 7+/li>

“The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has also rated the game as “Everyone” meaning, anyone of all ages is suitable to play. This is a great benefit as you can play the game as a solo player, duo’s, three’s and four’s. you can also play as a family as it is fully cross-platform. This means Rocket League is supported on Xbox, PlayStation, PC and Nintendo”
